University of Aberdeen IT Services supports a variety of web and computer-based resources, complementing your studies and allowing you to manage and review coursework at your pace and in your own time. Resources include:
- Free wireless internet access in University halls and across campus, 24/7
- Secure and backed-up home filespace on which to store your files
- Email:
- Studentmail - web based email and calendaring service for undergraduates and taught postgraduates. Hosted by Microsoft Outlook Live
- Outlook - email and calendaring package for all staff and research postgraduate students. Available via the Outlook desktop client and/or remotely via Outlook Web Access
- Over 1,600 high spec computers - distributed over classrooms, libraries and clusters on campus and in Halls of Residence
- Wide range of software and high quality printing
- Assistive technology - a range of specialist software on all classroom PCs, and six individual occupancy Assistive Technology Booths
