Studentmail Options

Account | Organize E-Mail | Groups | Settings | Phone | Block or Allow

Note: Remember to click on the Save button to save any changes you make to Studentmail Options.

Studentmail Light options differ slightly - to find out more go to www.abdn.ac.uk/studentmail/light.shtml

First, click on Options to display the Options page, divided into sections for each feature.

This will display the Options menu:

  • Set Automatic Replies...
  • Create an Inbox Rule...
  • See All Options...
  • Select a Theme

Click See All Options... to customize your Studentmail settings.

Inbox Rules

Set up Inbox Rules
Choose to automatically filter messages from your inbox into specific folders

Automatic Replies

Schedule specific automatic reply time periods
Specifying start and end times for automated replies saves you having to remember to turn the assistant on before you leave the office and off again on your return

Choose to send to Internal senders, External senders or both
Create Different Messages
Choose to send a different message to internal and external senders

Delivery Reports

Use Delivery Reports to search for delivery information about messages that you've sent or received during the past two weeks. You can narrow the search to messages with certain keywords in the subject. image of Delivery Reports dialog

Mail

E-Mail Signature
By setting up an automatic signature for your outgoing e-mail messages, you can ensure that you send important information such as contact details to message recipients.

  • Type your desired text in the text box area
  • Format the font style and colour as you wish

Tick the checkbox if you would like to automatically include your signature in e-mails that you send.

If not, you can add it manually to individual e-mails.

Message Format
Compose messages in HTML or Plain text, determine the default message font and choose to show Bcc and From fields in messages.
