Not much to add to Sean's wee story below. Winter seems to have arrived and as usual the Northern Corries were mobbed, on Mess of Potage parties were seen climbing The Message, The Haston Line, Hidden Chimney, Hidden Chimney Direct and a few numpties wondering around in search of Aladdin's Couloir at the base of Jacob's Ladder....
Hidden Chimney proved to be quite popular but we were reluctant to plod up The Slant so we joined the queue. Until the last 20m the route is no more than II (possibly even I) but there was an interesting few moves (II/III) to surmount a chokestone then an awkward traverse made all the more enjoyable by the updrafts of spindrift and numb hands after a gloveless fight with a stuck cam (the hotaches were actually a relief after 30 mins of no sensation!) Sean then topped out in a torrent of obscenities sporting frozen specs, a bloddy lip and a severed rope...I couldn't help but laugh!
Although the route was a bit of a dissapointment (doesn't deserve any guidebook stars IMHO) it was good to be back out playing in the snow again! Lets hope this is winter here to stay!

Descent
Rumour has it that Iain had to hold Sean's hand on the way down because his glasses were so frozen up! Lol! Would love to have seen that.
