University and College Union (UCU)The University of Aberdeen recognises the University and College Union as the appropriate Trades Union for the purposes of consultation and negotiation on the terms and conditions of employment of all staff employed at Grade 5 and above, including employed postgraduates. The UCU has undertaken to consult the BMA on matters affecting medically qualified staff.

Prospect

ProspectFollowing the merger of the University with the Rowett Research Institute to form the University of Aberdeen Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health, the University formally recognised the Trade Union Prospect in respect of the RINH staff who transferred to the University upon merger.
