Principal Exclusions of Travel Policy
Insurers Will not be Liable for any Claim
- Where the insured person is travelling against the advice of a Medical Practitioner
- Where the purpose of the Insured Trip is to receive medical treatment or advice
- As a result of use by an Insured Person of non-prescribed drugs which cannot be legally obtained from a pharmacy
- As a result of suicide, attempted suicide or self-inflicted injury
- In respect of journeys of more than 90 days, the Insurance Company will not be liable for any Medical and Emergency Expenses or Rescue Expenses incurred as a result of any condition from which the Insured person is known to be suffering or for which an Insured person has received professional treatment or consultation
- Resulting from diving
- Out with the course of employee’s occupation or students in the course of their studies
- Below 30 meters
- Bone necrosis is excluded
- During the hours of ‘darkness’
Notes
The following conditions must be adhered to in respect of diving
- Each demand regulator must be examined every 12 months by a competent person
- Each air cylinder shall be:
- inspected internally and externally every 2.5 years
- given hydraulic pressure test every 5 year
by an independent body in full accordance with BS EN 1968:2002 for Steel Gas Containers and BS EN 1802:2002 for Aluminium Gas Containers or by a competent person prior to use if outside the UK to ensure that cylinders have been inspected and maintained.
- All diving sessions be accompanied by a "buddy diver"
