Brand guidelines

Our brand portal provides you with all the resources you need to deliver our message clearly and credibly to any audience.

Public Affairs, Stakeholder Engagement and Events (PASE)

The Public Affairs, Stakeholder Engagement and Events team (PASE) was formally established as part of the Directorate of External Relations in January 2020. The primary focus of the team is to build reputation, profile and brand, through engagement with key partners and stakeholders, in a variety of different formats.

The team aims to guide, initiate, map and support partnership working with key stakeholders, communities, businesses from a wide range of sectors as well as partners across the North East, Scotland and beyond. They also aim to positively build on the reputation and brand of the University through a series of high-profile and engaging events, with a focus on supporting the five interdisciplinary challenges, set out in the University of Aberdeen 2040 Strategy.

VIP Visits

We are delighted to regularly welcome to the University government ministers, other senior politicians, international diplomats and leaders, VIPs and well-known individuals in many fields of arts, culture and science.

Our research and teaching activity is of particular interest to those involved in developing and influencing policy and practice in all areas of society, health and industry. For the University it is critical that we contribute knowledge and rigorous research to enable informed decisions to be made on topics that affect our communities today and in the future.

If you are contacted directly with a request for a visit, or if you are considering inviting a high-profile figure to an event or meeting, please contact the Communications office. They will advise on protocol and may be able to add value to the visit through other areas of interest or campus tours, and will be the contact for any media activity.

Please note that all invitations to members of the Royal Family, the First Minister of Scotland, or Scottish or UK Ministers must be issued through the Principal’s Office.
