We also offer one-to-one advice and School/department-specific training sessions.  Please contact us (cad@abdn.ac.uk) to discuss your requirements.  Most of our workshops take place on the Old Aberdeen campus, but we are happy to arrange and deliver training at Foresterhill.

New to Teaching

Learning and Teaching in Higher Education Course

The two-day Learning and Teaching in Higher Education course, is compulsory for new probationary lecturing staff and is recommended for new Teaching Fellows at the University of Aberdeen.

Some Experience

Principles of Learning in Teaching in Higher Education Programme

For Postgraduate Research Students, Early Career Researchers, new Lecturers, Teaching Fellows and a range of staff who support others to learn. Successful participants with enough teaching experience should be able to achieve Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.

 

Over Two Years Experience

Postgraduate Certificate programmes

The University of Aberdeen offers a Postgraduate Certificate programme in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.

This programme is for any member of academic or academic-related staff who is actively engaged in a range of teaching and/or learning support situations in higher education, and have been so for a minimum of two years.
