Information on the role of external examiners for taught programmes, including details of the selection of assessment materials they should receive, can be found in the Academic Quality Handbook, Section 9.

Also, Schools may wish to consult For Examiners, as this outlines the information given to external examiners by the Registry and lists the information that Schools should provide to their external examiners on appointment and at the start of each academic year.
