University's Careers Service receives Scholarship funding to support the STAR award

The Careers Service has received a scholarship fund from Enterprise rent-a-car to support students undertaking the STAR award (Student Taking Active Roles).

The award was presented by Jeffrey Lovejoy, Talent Acquisition Manager for Enterprise, who said:

“Through the Enterprise Foundation we are very proud to have donated £1,500 towards the Aberdeen STAR Programme.  Students Taking Active Roles is something that every student should be a part of in order to develop the relevant skills to make them more employable in the graduate market.  Working in collaboration with the careers team, we will be using this donation to go towards scholarships for students to drive that competitive spirit that we look for in our graduates.”

The scholarship fund will be used to enhance the experience of students undertaking the award and provide prizes for outstanding contributions to the life of the University through the volunteer roles undertaken by participating students.
