The University of Aberdeen has prepared a Draft Gaelic Language Plan to promote the use and acquisition of Gaelic under the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005. Under the Act, public bodies are being notified by Bòrd na Gàidhlig, the public body with responsibility for Gaelic, that they are required to produce a Gaelic Language Plan to assist in the national effort to secure the status of Gaelic as an official language of Scotland.
The consultation period is now closed. Our Final Gaelic Plan will be available on the website when it is ready.
The Conversation Circle will begin on Wednesday 6 February 2013 from 1-2pm in Taylor A59, and it will run fortnightly. Everyone is welcome to attend. You do not need to be a fluent speaker. If you are learning Gaelic or you already speak Gaelic take part in the fun!
