Risk Management

Risk Management is integral to the University of Aberdeen's approach to planning. Deriving from the objectives outlined in the Strategic Plan, the Corporate Risk Register is a tool to assist management of our activities in support of our institutional vision.

Risk should be a standing item on all Committee agendas.

Formal governance is overseen by the Risk Management Committee, which reports to the Operating Board. The University Management Group plays a key role in the implementation of the University's Risk Management Policy and Procedures.

Guidance for Project Boards: Guidance note for the effective governance of University Projects. A blank Risk Template for use at Project level is available from Ruth Maclure, the Clerk to the Risk Management Committee (r.m.maclure@abdn.ac.uk).

Details of the University's Risk Management Policy and Procedures are available as a Word document.

A blank template for use at Operational/Project level is available as an Excel document. This should be used in conjunction with the above Policy.
