OneSource

OneSource is an exciting and cutting edge transformation of the University’s business processes. The project represents a major improvement agenda involving people, process and supporting technology.

The OneSource programme will fundamentally change the way in which we interact with our students and partners, colleagues and stakeholders, both within and outwith the University. It will replace the Student Records and Admissions, Research Management, Human Resources, Payroll and Pensions, Finance and Procurement systems currently used which represent an outmoded, dysfunctional and overtly complex way of conducting business. OneSource will ensure the effective integration of all of these functions into one simple and coordinated structure.

Transforming the way the University conducts its business will radically improve efficiency and transparency making the University of Aberdeen an ever more attractive place to study and work.

The Programme Roadmap was developed as a consequence of discussions with Unit 4, current knowledge the University priorities and technical dependencies between systems.  Further analysis during the more detailed planning phases of the programme, with Stakeholders and Unit 4, may provide further information which could change the sequence or timing of projects.
