Climate Compatible Development and Sustainable Energy for All. How might this work within the Common but Differentiated Responsibilities and Respective Capacities of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change?

Sheelagh O’Reilly is Director / Principal consultant at IOD PARC (www.iodparc.com) and has over 30 years’ experience working with international organisations engaged in natural resources management and development, spanning bilateral, multilateral, academia, NGOs and the private sector.  Her academic background includes a PhD on the ‘ethics of sustainability’ as well as an LLM Human Rights Law (and she is just starting an LLM in Climate Change Law and Policy).  Dr O’Reilly’s interest is in the intersection of human development and how the local and global environment is managed and maintained.  She works internationally (recently Nepal, Malawi, Cambodia and Kenya) though based in Scotland and spent 6 years in Vietnam working on grass-roots level management of forestry, biodiversity and local infrastructure.
