Principal's Interdisciplinary Fund

A second new fund has been launched by Principal Diamond as a seedcorn fund to encourage academic staff to develop interdisciplinary research opportunities.

Grants of up to £3,000 may be awarded to support activities which will lead to the development of high quality research proposals that are clearly interdisciplinary.

A total of £100,000 is being made available for this academic year from the Strategic Investment Fund for initiatives such as supporting workshops, symposia, visits to collaborators and other ideas.

Applications should be no more than three A4 sides in length, and give an explanation and breakdown of what the funds are being sought for.

For applications from staff supporting letters or references are not required, although we may contact Colleges or Schools for further information where necessary.
