Undergraduate Information Evenings
We are delighted that your son or daughter has expressed an interest in studying at Aberdeen and would like to invite you to attend one of our forthcoming Parents' Information Evenings. These will give you a chance to ask any questions you may have, meet members of University staff, and find out more about Higher Education, as well as life at the University of Aberdeen and within the city itself.
Beginning university is a daunting experience for parents as well as for new students. You will want to be sure that the university your son or daughter attends offers them help in finding their feet, making friends, settling into their studies and into student life. As you know, Aberdeen has a distinguished reputation for teaching and research, but we are equally proud of our strong student support network, which provides expert guidance in both academic and personal matters.
The Parents’ Information Evenings will include presentations by staff from our Student Recruitment and Admissions Service. Our small but knowledgeable team will answer queries from the audience on accommodation, admissions and general welfare. The presentation will also cover student finance. In each case the evening will begin with refreshments available from 6.30pm until 7.00pm, when the presentations will commence.
