    What skills will Hispanic Studies give me?

We aim to offer you a well-rounded and useful education in Hispanic Studies, firstly giving you a solid foundational knowledge of Hispanic culture and language during the first two years of the programme, and then allowing you to specialise in areas that particularly interest you. We also aim to equip you with valuable transferable skills.

In general, all courses in the Department seek to encourage a broad range of transferable skills. These include: independent thinking, analysis, and decision-making; preparation and presentation of cogent arguments; oral and written communication skills; time-management and resource-management skills; document preparation skills, including computer and word-processing skills; group work and team work.
