Biography
Dr Christopher Kollmeyer was appointed lecturer of sociology at the University of Aberdeen in 2006 and promoted to senior lecturer in 2012. He holds a doctorate in sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was a faculty fellow in the Global and International Studies Program from 2003 to 2005. His interdisciplinary research focuses on the economic and political consequences of globalization and the changing nature of contemporary work and labour markets. He serves as director of the department's MSc in Globalization programme.
