aboriginal people, anthropology, Canadian North, circumpolar ethnography, Dene, ecological anthropology, ethnoarchaeology, ethnographic film, ethnohistory, ethnopoetics, exploration, history of science, human-animal relations, fur trade, Gwich'in, Guatemala, indigenous rights, indigenous land claims, land rights, literacy, !Kung, Maya, memory, missionaries, Namibia, pedagogy, philosophy (Deleuze, Leibniz, Spinoza), reading, trails, vernacular architecture, visual anthropology, well-being.   

Current Research

Research Fellow at Arctic Domus project. The research concerns investigating the relationships between humans, dogs, fish, and caribou in the Canadian circumpolar North and the history of domestication in the Arctic.
