Professor Haun Saussy (Professor of Comparative Literature, University of Chicago)

Haun Saussy is one of the leading figures in Comparative Literature in the world. He has taught at UCLA, Stanford, Yale, the City University of Hong Kong, and the Université de Paris-III, and he was president (2009-2011) of the American Comparative Literature Association. His books include The Problem of a Chinese Aesthetic (1993) and Comparative Literature in an Age of Globalization (2004). He is currently working on a book about rhythm in psychology, linguistics, literature and folklore.
