Towards the development of a vaccine for Proliferative Kidney Disease.
In collaboration with Prof Beth Okamura (Natural History Museum) and Dr Steve Fiest (Cefas, Weymouth), Prof Secombes has been awarded a BBSRC grant to undertake research aimed at developing a vaccine for PKD, one of the most serious diseases of farmed trout in the UK. The work will commence in October 2007, and will employ Dr Jason Holland within the Centre.
