Postgraduate Student Handbook 2011-2012
Postgraduate International Student Absence Form - NEW!
This form should be downloaded, completed and signed by all International Students whenever an absence occurs from Aberdeen or Studies.
Please send the form immediately to the Postgraduate Secretary.

Postgraduate Research and Conference Support
The School's Postgraduate Committee may be able to provide funding for its Postgraduate Students to support their research and to enable them to attend conferences. This year (2011-2012) the funding is limited to a maximum of £100 per student. Please note that the Committee expects that applications will be made in advance of the event and it will not normally consider retrospective applications. Postgraduate students should apply to the Committee at least 7 days prior to the next Committee meeting, using the Application form below, which must be signed and dated by both the student and the supervisor. Please email an electronic copy to Mrs Helena Thomas at h.m.thomas@abdn.ac.uk

School Bursaries
Annually, the School awards bursaries to both current students and those applying for postgraduate study in the School for the coming academic session and details are posted on the School Webpage. Further awards are available from the College of Arts and Social Sciences.
Funding Database
The University has a Funding Database where you can search for all types of funding sources to assist with financing either your undergraduate or postgraduate study. It contains information on bursaries, scholarships, PhD vacancies and external sources of funding that you can search relevant to your level and/or area of study.
