The school maintains a tradition of teaching and learning which dates back to the university's foundation over 500 years ago. It is committed to high quality, research-led teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It has a growing student population, with one of the largest postgraduate communities at the University of Aberdeen.
Our students come from all over the British Isles and from overseas and go on to a wide range of professions after they graduate. These include ministry, teaching, nursing, social work, the armed forces, journalism, and law.

The school of Divinity, History and Philosophy is a leading international provider of excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate education, attractively situated at the heart of the Old Aberdeen campus. It is the only school which is now based in King's College quadrangle, beside the ancient chapel and the King's Conference Centre. It is also a two minute walk from the main University Library.
