| Item Description | Manuscript in Skinner's hand of 'Strathspey "Tobermory" J. Scott Skinner (To Neil Macdonald)'. The tune, in A major, appeared with few alterations in the Harp and Claymore, but without the dedication. Skinner seems to have sent it to Macdonald for his comments. For he wrote beneath the music 'Kindly play over & send on to Gavin Greig Esq. M.A. New Deer, Aberdeenshire. If not good send to me to burn.' |
