Page 1 of 5, Letter from W L Christie to P J Anderson Letter dated 13 April 1918. W. L. Christie (Episcopalian Dean of Brechin) was the grandson of William Christie of Monquhitter. An investigation begins into another manuscript, 'containing "Scotch MS. tunes 1730-60". It belonged to 'James Christie Monquhitter'. The manuscript had been sold (at auction?) over Easter, and then been presented to the University.

The pencilled annotations throughout the book were made by J. Murdoch Henderson (1902-1972), mathematics teacher, fiddle enthusiast, collector and composer.
