Our discussion forum just got bigger. In 2010 we will be running three Cafe Sci style series. The first, launching in January, continues the highly successful city centre events in Waterstone's Book shop on Union Bridge. The second, also launching in January, is a new medically themed Cafe held in the new Suttie Centre at the Foresterhill Health campus. Thirdly, come February, a new Cafe Sci Shire will launch at the restaurant Buchanans at Woodend Barn near Banchory.

________

ALL Cafe sessions are free with the proceeds from drinks and snack sales at the cafes involved helping to support our costs at the respective venues.

General Cafe Scientifique Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and MED Info

Where and When?

All our Cafe sessions take place in either Waterstone's Aberdeen Union Bridge branch (for the City), Woodend Barn (for the Shire) or the Suttie Centre at Foresterhill (for Cafe MED). The City and Shire cafes commence at 7pm while Cafe MED begins at 6pm. Entry is free and open to all.

The evenings usually begin with a short presentation from the guest speaker(s), followed by a short session to mull over what has been said, chat informally and obtain drinks and snacks. Finally, a chaired audience discussion follows lasting around an hour.

Can I be updated about future sessions?
We would be delighted to add you to our mailing list please email Ken Skeldon just saying, please tell me about Cafe Sci!
