Previous work has shown that a twice daily intake of a prebiotic product in healthy volunteers considerably altered gut bacteria and metabolic health indicators.
During our 12 week study at the Rowett Institute, we will assess if prebiotic supplement will improve metabolic health by altering the gut bacteria in volunteers with Type 2 diabetes.
Free parking and accommodation are available at our new Foresterhill site.

We are recruiting:
•    men or women aged 18-65
•    with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT, identified by HbA1c) or Type 2 Diabetes
•    normal to overweight (BMI between 18-40kg/m2)
