Unconscious Bias and Stereotype Threat
In this talk I will be introducing the phenomena of unconscious bias and stereotype threat, highlighting the difficulties they raise for gender equality in academia and discussing initiatives that can help overcome them.
Federico Luzzi is Co-Lead of the Athena SWAN Self-Assessment Team in the School of Divinity, History and Philosophy and member of the Gender Equality Steering Group. He teaches the undergraduate course ‘Gender Equality’.
