Overview of Research
Before taking up her current post Cate was Assistant Head Teacher at a special school for children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Since joining the University she has been engaged in research into professional identities and narratives of practice.
Externally funded research includes:
- ESRC funded seminar series on Interprofessional working.
- An evaluation of the Scottish Schools Ethos and Anti-Bullying Networks for the Scottish Executive Education Department.
- An investigation of the links between mental health and behaviour in schools for the Scottish Executive Education Department
