Causeway / Cabhsair
Causeway / Cabhsair
A Magazine of Irish and Scottish Writing
Causeway/Cabhsair publishes new writing by Irish and Scottish writers in all the languages of both countries. We seek to publish both new and established writers, and each issue contains a section reviewing new publications. We have so far published work by Paul Muldoon, James Kelman, Alan Spence, and Gerald Dawes, as well as many others.
Causeway / Cabhsair accepts unsolicited submissions of poetry and prose, up to a maximum of 4 poems or 4,000 words of prose. Work should not have been published elsewhere. Email submissions to causeway@abdn.ac.uk. The editors will respond to all submissions, normally within 4 weeks of the deadline for each issue. Work submitted after these deadlines will automatically be considered for the following issue.
