This meeting will celebrate the publication of the first volume of the Diary of Patrick Gordon and discuss vol. 1 along with vols. 2 and 3 already translated into Russian by Dmitry Fedosov and published by Nauka.

Participants will give report on their work in progress, suggesting topics for further research, with reference to the Scottish diaspora and/or its context.
