Bequest: In 2012 The Research Institute of Irish and Scottish Studies was one of the major beneficiaries of a very substantial bequest to the University from the estate of Mrs Margaret Jones. As a result, for the next 7 to 10 years RIISS is able to continue to support research and publications in Irish and Scottish studies at about the same level as during the two phases of the AHRC Centre.
