AUDIO from 'The Way It Had To Be Said... language, translation, experimentation' A symposium of the AHRC funded Irish-Scottish Poetry Project, Seamus Heaney Centre for Poetry, Queen’s University Belfast, in association with the AHRC Centre for Irish and Scottish Studies, University of Aberdeen.

 

The second symposium of the AHRC Irish-Scottish Poetry Project, "'The way it had to be said...': language, translation and experimentation' was held on the 22nd and 23rd of November 2007, in the Seminar Room of the Postrgraduate Student Centre at Queen's University. As in the previous symposium, there were four excellent sessions, and lively and stimulating debate throughout the day. Thanks go to Fran Brearton, Philip MacGowan, Rory Watson and Ed Larrissy for chairing the sessions.

There were two poetry readings associated with the event.
