What we do

CPD Services within the University's Research and Innovation team is the central focus for professional development at the University of Aberdeen.

Our aim is to enhance the University's provision of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for people at work.  Our remit has two main strands:

1. For Employers and Employees to meet market demands and the learning and development needs\of employers and individuals, and
2. Supporting academic colleagues in the provision of CPD programmes and activities.

For people at work, CPD Services:

• co-ordinates a range of professional development opportunities from the university
• works closely with academics and industry specialists to meet specific training needs
• works alone or collaborates with University departments and public and private sector organisations to explore CPD funding, research and development opportunities

For Academic Collegues (also see information for staff pages):

• CPD Services provides a number of support functions including market research, budget development, an advisory service, feasibility studies and full administrative support.

CPD Services work with many industry professionals to tailor courses to your needs.  These include:

• Aberdeen Convention Bureau
• Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre
• Aberdeen Grampian Chamber of Commerce
• European Social Fund
