Transcripts

A transcript lists all courses which a student has passed i.e. achieved during their period of registration, together with the CAS mark. The transcript indicates the Academic Year (not the diet) in which a course has been passed, its credit value, and the definition of the CAS bands. The CAS Scale came into operation in October 1992 for levels 1 and 2 and October 1994 for level 3 and 4 courses. Prior to these dates courses were assessed as Achieved or Not Achieved.

All taught students are given a transcript with their degree certificate at graduation.

Please note that transcripts are not available for postgraduate taught students registered prior to the academic year 1998/99.

How much will a transcript cost?

For current students the cost is £10 for 1 original and £2 per copy thereafter, up to a limit of six

For former students the cost is £15 for 1 original and £2 per copy thereafter, up to a limit of six

Different quantities are available to purchase. 

How can I apply for a transcript?

Transcripts can be requested and paid for through the University’s on line store at

https://www.store.abdn.ac.uk/

How long will it take?

Please allow up to 10 working days. If your record is prior to 1995 please allow additional time. 

Where will my transcript be sent to?

Transcripts will be posted to the address(es) supplied and are not available to collect in person.  Should you wish your transcript to be sent to different addresses please specify. 

Additional Information

When you order online there is an opportunity to give special instructions in the “any other information box” on the on line store questionnaire.  For example you may require envelopes to be sealed and stamped. 

Should you have a form that requires to be completed and sent with your transcript please email it to us at studentrecords@abdn.ac.uk quoting your order reference number. 

Should you require an ECTS version of your transcript this can also be requested.   However Erasmus students should contact the Erasmus unit at Erasmus@abdn.ac.uk to request a transcript.
