SENAS 4: Withdrawals of Courses or Programmes

Download guidance notes in word format

There is no requirement to complete a form. Withdrawals can be proposed by e-mailing the relevant College Registrar with the following information:-

A downloadable form is available if Schools prefer to use this facility, which should be sent as a Word attachment by e-mail to the relevant College Registrar after having been approved by the Head(s) of School(s) concerned.

A separate withdrawal request is not required for courses or programmes which are being replaced and are indicated as such on a New Course or New Programme Proposal.

In completing a withdrawal proposal form, please would you note the following:-

7 - Where a course is to be withdrawn, list those programmes for which the withdrawn course is prescribed so that the University Calendar can be edited. [The ASC Clerk will identify those programmes offered by other Schools for which the course is also prescribed].

Where a programme is to be withdrawn, Schools should note that programmes must be phased out in order that those students currently registered for the programme concerned or those who have accepted offers of entry can complete their chosen degree.

9The proposal must indicate that the Heads of all relevant Schools have approved the proposals before it is sent to the relevant College Registrar. Where approval required by more than one Head of School, enter date of final approval.

Once approved, the forms should be e-mailed as a 'word' attachment to the relevant college using the relevant e-mail address below:-
