Planning Cycle

The Planning Cycle is a timetable which is set out to ensure that central scrutiny and validation of course and programme proposals can be achieved in time for incorporation in the Omnibus Resolution to the Senate in January, and inclusion in relevant publications (e.g. UCAS Handbook; Prospectuses; University Calendar; Catalogue of Courses). The Omnibus Resolution details annual changes to degree regulations for approval by the Senate and the University Court. The annual deadline for submission of proposals is 31 October. Proposals may be considered outwith the normal Planning Cycle on an ad hoc basis if there is good reason for being unable to meet the 31 October deadline.

For further details, see Academic Quality Handbook, section 3.3.26.
