Graduation Ceremonies

Winter Graduation Ceremonies 2011

The Winter Graduation Ceremonies will take place on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 November 2011, in the Elphinstone Hall, King’s College campus, at Old Aberdeen as follows:

• Undergraduate Degrees
• Postgraduate Taught Degrees
• Postgraduate Research Degrees

Application forms along with payment must be submitted by Friday 14 October 2011.

• by post to Registry Student Services, The Hub, Elphinstone Road, ABERDEEN, AB24 3TU
• in person to the Infohub

If you apply after the deadline an extra late fee of £25 will be charged. No applications will be accepted, for whatever reason, after 4.30 p.m. on Friday 4 November 2011 (Winter) or Friday 15 June 2012 (Summer).

Summer Graduation Ceremonies 2012

The Summer Graduation Ceremonies will take place between Monday 2 July and Friday 6 July 2012, in the Elphinstone Hall, King's College campus, at Old Aberdeen. Application forms along with payment must be submitted by Friday 27 April 2012. A full schedule of the ceremonies will be available mid-March 2012.

Graduation In Absentia (for students who do not appear at a ceremony)

Degree Candidates should note that, if they wish, they are entitled to have a degree conferred in absentia, thus avoiding the expense and possible inconvenience of attending in person. There is no fee for graduation in absentia. Please note that if you graduate in absentia, you are normally unable to also graduate in person and vice versa. To graduate in absentia you should print out an Application Form, available via your Student Portal. If you no longer have access you can collect/request a form from the InfoHub by the application deadline dates below. Or, if you are not on campus we can email you a copy to complete and return. Contact us at graduation@abdn.ac.uk with your full name and ID number. Those completing with a Certificate or a Diploma can only 'graduate' in absentia.
