Course Overview

  • Teaching delivered by world experts so that students are exposed to the latest research findings;
  • Fundamental knowledge is delivered in the context of pressing societal issues, notably food security, biodiversity loss and ecosystem functioning;
  • Detailed hands-on observation of field samples provides context to taught material;
  • Assessment develops group learning and provides experience in communicating research findings in poster format, as is done at most conferences.

Course Description

Introduction to mycorrhiza and mycorrhizal fungi. Mycorrhizal diversity and ecosystem function are covered with an emphasis on molecular techniques used in research.
