A Celebration of 25 Years of Clinical MRI
September 1st and 2nd
2005,
Kings College Converence Centre,
University of Aberdeen
In 1980 the physicists in the Department of Biomedical Physics and Bioengineering completed construction of a whole body nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) scanner.
With the development of
spin-warp imaging by
Doctors J Hutchison and
We
bring
together these early pioneers in this technology to celebrate the
silver
anniversary of the first clinical patient scanned using this technique
and
provide an insight into the history of MRI in Aberdeen over the past 25
years.
