Welcome
to Aberdeen Proteomics |
A proud history of high quality Proteomics Service provision: Aberdeen Proteomics provides proteomics services to the academic and industrial research communities on a wide range of sample types, including clinical, mammalian, plant, microbial and viral samples. We serve research groups in the UK and abroad. We have comprehensive instrumentation and expertise enabling a range of services to be provided from one-off protein identifications up to quantitative large-scale proteomic studies for a wide range of organisms. Our facility started in 1986 with the formation of the Aberdeen Amino Acid Sequencing Service. This led to the formation of the Aberdeen Proteome Facility (1997), which fused with the Proteome Service Facility 1 of The Consortium for the Functional Genomics of Microbial Eukaryotes (COGEME) in 2005. This COGEME facility was funded by the BBSRC under the Investigating Gene Function (IGF) Initiative. Fungal Proteomics:
We work on all types of protein sample. UK groups interested in Fungal
Proteomics may be able to access funding for preliminary projects through
the COGEME
Users Resource Fund. Information about this fund can be
accessed throught the Please contact us early to seek advice on cost-effective experiment design. |
