PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

Welcome to the PIR web space for prospective students. In this section, you will find information regarding why studying politics and/or international relations may be good for you. Furthermore, we give information as to why studying these subjects at the University of Aberdeen will offer you a successful start in a career in many different fields.

For prospective undergraduate students, we offer information regarding the Department of Politics and International Relations as well as the possible degree structure for both ‘joint honours’ and ‘designated’ degrees. For prospective postgraduate students, we offer information on the ‘taught’ MSc programmes as well as ‘research’ programmes such as the MRes and the PhD. The department is currently expanding its MSc taught programmes to represent the many interests in the department. Special attention is given to the Middle-East, Latin America, Strategic Studies and Human Rights in the 2007/08 year.
