Dr Joel Pierce

Biography

I am the Adminstrator of Christ's College which oversees candidates training for ministry with the Church of Scotland through the University of Aberdeen.  I also act as administrator for the Theology (Online) programme and assist in various capacities with activities of the Centre for Ministry Studies.  

I completed my PhD in Divinity at the University of Aberdeen in 2021 with a thesis which focused on the use of rights language within contemporary and historic Christian ethics and political theology.  In addition to my work with the University of Aberdeen I am engaged in various interfaith initiatives with a particular interest in Muslim-Christian dialogue and assist in the training of candidates for other Christian denominations.
