Biography

Thérèse Jackson is the Consultant Occupational Therapist in Stroke for NHS Grampian.  She is the AHP lead for stroke services in Grampian and is the Occupational Therapy advisor to the Scottish Government; National Advisory Committee for Stroke.

Thérèse has worked in the areas of stroke and neurosciences for most of her career and has been based in Aberdeen since 2000 after working throughout the UK and overseas.  She has a special interest in stroke rehabilitation and the management of complex physical and cognitive disorders.  Thérèse has published articles on adult apraxia and has recently contributed to two textbooks; Head Injury – a multidisciplinary approach and Occupational Therapy for Stroke.

She is a member of the core leadership and development team for Grampian's Stroke Managed Clinical Network, and has led several stroke service initiatives both nationally and regionally.

Thérèse has extensive teaching experience and runs courses nationally and internationally.  She has spoken at several national conferences and events.
