Butterflies

Peacock - Less than 10 records in 1990's. All in August

Small Tortoiseshell - Rarely groups of 10-20. Most records July-Sept. Earliest late March

Painted Lady - Less than 10 records, mostly in August. Latest on 23 November

Red Admiral - Regularly recorded July to September "Dozens" July 1992

Large White - A few records in the early 1990's

"Blue" Butterflies In 1992, 7 records but none specifically identified

Moths

Convolvulus Hawk Moth - Less than 10 records, most in September

Death's Head Hawk Moth - One record on 13 Sept. 1995

Angle Shades Moth - One April, two October records

Silver Y - "Hundreds" reported Aug 1996/1997

Dragonflies

Four-spotted Chaser - One 6 July 1991

Migrant Hawker - One 23 August 1997

Blue Dasher - One found dead Sept 1999 First record for Europe
