A taxi from the airport to the University costs approximately £15 – £20. A taxi from the station costs approximately £6 - £10. Buses and TaxisThe bus numbers 1, 2, 15 and 20 all run from the city centre of Aberdeen to King’s Street or Old Aberdeen itself. Taxis can be ordered from:
Car ParkingA car parking permit can be provided for you, however, while this allows you to park on-campus it does not entitle you to a space and you should note that parking is limited. Currency and BanksThe official currency of UK is £ sterling. Commonly accepted credit cards are Visa, and Mastercard. Display signs are usually visible in all restaurants and shops indicating which cards they accept. Travellers' cheques can be cashed at most banks. Most banks are closed on Saturdays and all day Sunday. There are foreign exchange booths at all major airports and in Aberdeen city centre. There is a Bank of Scotland on campus, which has an ATM, this is located in the Highstreet. There is a full range of Banks in Aberdeen city centre.
