Behaviour:
Food: fishes (cod, flounders, herrings), large crustaceans (Hyas, Crangon, Leander), occasionally polychaetes and amphipods
Reproduction: December-March, demersal eggs laid in clumps around rocks and guarded by males; fry pelagic
