The Director
Professor David Arter holds the First Chair of Politics in the School of Social Sciences. He is a Knight (First Class) of the Order of the White Rose of Finland, a member of the Finnish Academy of Science and Letters, a member of the Finnish Literary Society, a member of the Editorial Board of Politiikka and Deputy Chair of the Executive Committee of the Finnish Institute in London.


Deputy Directors

Dr David J. Galbreath is Lecturer in International Relations in the School of Social Science. He is a member of the executive committee for the University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES) and the Centre for Russian, Central and East European Studies (CRCEES) at the University of Glasgow. He is a member of the Editorial Board for Europe-Asia Studies and the International Advisory Board for the ‘Soviet and Post-Soviet Politics and Society’ series published by Ibidem Verlag.

Dr Anders Widfeldt is lecturer in Politics in the School of Social Science. He has been the deputy director of the Nordic Policy Studies Centre since joining the University of Aberdeen in 1996. He was previously based in the Department of Political Science, Göteborg University in Sweden. He has participated in a number of international projects on political parties, and was the first Parliamentary Scholar at the Swedish Riksdag.
