Continuing Professional Development for teachers.

We are inviting primary school teachers to join us for twilight CPD sessions, where we provide training on the resources here at the centre, while addressing the larger context for the topic. 

We beleive that this approach will provide better support for teachers to deliver a wide range of science and environmental topics, both in the centre and back at school.

We have scheduled a series of CPD twilight session, after which you will be able to bring your class and run the session yourself using the resources, during a specific timeframe.

Our proposed CPD dates for the coming year are:

Night and Day (level 1)                  Wednesday 16th January

Rainforests (level 2)                      Wednesday 20th February

Mini-beasts (level 1)                     Wednesday 1st May

Mini-beasts (level 2)                     Thursday 2nd May

My World of Nature (level 1)           Wednesday 22nd May

The sessions start at 4pm and finish around 6.30pm.  Aberdeen City teachers can book through their normal CPD channels at the city council whereas teachers from Aberdeenshire should book through the NHC (01224 274545). There is a nominal booking charge of £10 and the session is CPD accredited.
