We understand that students in their first year may need a little more support and guidance, so below is a list of links for the services that the University provides for especially for you.

Student Advice and Support Office - Situated in the Hub, the Student Advice and Support team offers impartial and confidential advice and support on a range of issues, including finance, disability information and more.
Infohub - on the Ground Floor of The Hub. The infohub is your first point of call for all student services, information and enquiries. Infohub staff can provide information and guidance, or help you make appointments to see specialst advisers from Registry, Careers or the Student Learning Service.
Students' Association (AUSA)– Situated in the Buchart Centre, AUSA is the organisation that represents and serves your interest, and works to make your time in Aberdeen as happy and enjoyable as possible.
Student Learning Service - The SLS can help you to develop your academic skills throughout your time at University. SLS offers academic skills workshops and individual study advice sessions. Individual academic skills advice is also available for students with dyslexia and other learning differences. Workshop topics will include: note-taking, critical thinking, academic writing, maths skills, presentation skills and time management. In addition, online learning resources are available in ACHIEVE on MyAberdeen. Full details of workshop schedules and other SLS services can be found at the SLS website.
Library – The Sir Duncan Rice Library offers a wide range of books, e-journals and resources for all University students, whilst offering a quiet place to study.
Careers Service – It is important to start thinking about careers from the start of your studies. The Careers Service, situated in the Hub, can help you to make the most of your time at University through opportunities to gain experience and skills through the co-curriculum and during vacations. It can also help you with career-related issues ranging from identifying career options and career planning to making applications, designing your CV and practising your interview technique.
Language Centre - For advice and guidance with English Language skills or if you are looking to learn an entirely new language.
Accommodation Office - Situated in the Hub the accommodation office can help and give information on campus accommodation and campus facilities. Campus Services is committed to helping the environment and increasing awareness within the University.
The Chaplaincy - The University Chaplaincy (25 High Street) is a place of welcome for all and serves as a spiritual and social centre for students and staff. The University Chaplaincy team is there to support students and staff, whether that’s by providing some coffee or by having a one on one chat. They’re there for everyone, not just Christians, regardless of whether they have a faith or not, all genders, races, religions. The Chaplaincy offers space for groups to meet, worship, share meals, discuss and build bridges with the rest of the community. The role of the chaplains is to offer care to any member of the University community: staff or students. As with any concern, appropriate confidentiality is maintained.
