We're delighted to welcome you to the University of Aberdeen. Arriving in a new country can be exciting and intimidating at the same time. Immigration Advice

The University's Visa Information page provides guidance for international students on all matters relating to immigration. We strongly advise that you read this information carefully. You can also download the Tier 4 Immigration Leaflet for International Students.

The UK has a Points Based System (PBS) for Immigration.  The system has 5 Tiers under which individuals can apply for a visa. International (non-European Economic Area (EEA)/non Swiss) students will need to apply for a student visa under Tier 4. For further information, please visit the following UK Government websites:

International Student Advisers
